Mayor’s BSL Charter
The Mayor’s British Sign Language (BSL) Charter marked a significant milestone in advancing access rights and equality for Deaf Londoners. Developed in collaboration with the British Deaf Association (BDA), the Charter aims to eliminate discrimination, empower Deaf communities, and strengthen partnerships between organisations.
As a BSL user, Amanprit advised and guided the Equalities and Fairness team on the BSL Charter, helping to improve access to information and services for Deaf people, and contributed to its launch at City Hall.
