GLA Disability Network

Amanprit served as Co-Chair for the Disability Network for two years, working closely with its Executive Sponsors, the GLA Chief Officer and Mayor’s Deputy Chief of Staff.

Prioritising disability alongside race as a key corporate focus, Amanprit championed a cultural shift, led change management initiatives, and spearheaded projects that embedded a disability perspective throughout the organisation. Under her leadership, the network doubled to over 200 members, and a significant achievement was increasing disability disclosure from 9% to 19% - a figure that is above and reflective of London’s working-age disability population within a year.

In collaboration with Disability Co-Chairs and the Neurodiversity group, Amanprit raised awareness on disability and deafness, progressed vital workplace policies such as the workplace adjustment passport, Access to Work advisory, City Hall accessibility and organised impactful network events.

Her efforts were recognised with a GLA Unsung Hero award.
